Chancellor Lou Yuangong met with Chancelor of Bangor University Mr. Richard Merfyn Jones
4pm of 21st Noverber, in the Administration building third floor reception room, Chancellor Lou met with Chancellor Richard Merfyn Jones of Bangor University. The following people had attendenced the meeting: Director of International affair department of Bangor Univeristy Dr. Mark Jones, Director of educational administration department Miss Penny Dowdney, Director of Chemistry Department Prof. Greg Chass, Direcor of Computer Science Department Dr. Janming Tang, and Vice-Chancellor of Huanghuai University Lu Lin and leads of deparments in Huanghuai University.
Firstly, Chancellor Lou gave the warmly welcome to the delegation of Bangor University. He said that Huanghuai University has been being cooperate with many University under the rules of faithful and equality. The background of this visting is under the foundation of pre-communicating, and for further cooperation, and developpment of the program between two universities. He hopes the friendship between two universities will be profound along the expanding of our cooperation. For the affair of openning Kongzi college in Bangor University, which suggested by Richard Merphyn Jones. Chancellor Lou totally agreed and would do our best to surport this program. And in Huanghuai University part will accept the UK’s students for studying here without chargement. Like we did for Indian students. We will provide the conditions and chances for students and scholars from different countries, to improve the cooperation, friendship and communicating.
Chancellor Richard Merfyn Jones expressed thanks to the warm welcome of Chancellor Lou, and also for the meeting with them under a busy situation. He said friendly of our teachers and students made them feel warm and kindness. All these prefigured the successful of two universities’ cooperation. From the Huanghuai University instruction video, they read the brilliant future of Huanghuai University. Two universities have the common ideas on education. Chancellor Richard expressed that he recognised the importance of cooperating with Huanghuai University. He admired the foresight and force of Leaders in Huanghuai University, and also the idea of International education cooperation made them feel impressively. He believed that a successful university should have the international consciousness. He hopes the we will have more cooperations in different regions, and our friendship will be long and success.
Later, both sides have pressented a strong local characteristics, as a symbol of friendship and sincere cooperation gifts.
